On the runways of 1993 Oldham showcased a series of sleek black dresses with high back slits, form fitting silhouettes and sexy cut outs through the torso. I believe this is a gown that went into production and was based on that runway show. Its absolutely stunning - a column of silk is cut long and lean to follow every curve. Its simplicity itself through the skirt and the torso is a study in cut work. Each side is scooped out to below the waist and tiny cords hold the front and back sides together. The neck is fairly highly with the subtlest of scoops on the front and back. The curve of the side cut out as they narrow through the back is deliciously female and sensual! A superb and rare Oldham gown and in excellent condition.
